Everything is bigger in Texas, right? That seems to include the sun and it’s powerful rays! The strong Texas sun is great for a day on the water, whether you’re paddle boarding on Ladybird lake, wake surfing in lake Travis, kayaking on Georgetown Lake, swimming in Barton Spring Pool, or fishing at Lakewood Park, It feels great to soak up the sun and get a tan. But if you don’t take necessary precautions to protect your skin with a high SPF sunblock, that intense Texas sun will burn you within minutes of exposure!
Just as it is necessary to protect your skin from the harmful sun, it is also necessary to protect your car’s “skin” or paint job. Even if you keep your car in a garage (most Texans use their garage as a workshop, gym, or office), still most vehicles spend the majority of their time outside while you’re commuting, at work, shopping, at the beach, or doing anything else outside of your home. All that exposure to the elements certainly takes its toll on your car’s finish. You may not notice the subtle effects until it is too late.
